After reading the posts, I figured out that fiberman was dissing TMex. It actually would have been possible for any trader to short the stock at 9 3/8, but anyone who got off a sale at the high of the day, which was around 9:40 this morning, would never have held it till 6 3/4 before they covered. They would have covered for sure when it jammed down to 7 3/8 at around 3:00, before it came back up to 7 7/8, or they would have held it overnight. I can go back and check, but I think only about 600 shares went off at 6 3/4 before it came back up.
I came close to covering on three occasions, the only reason I didn't was because I had 6 trades in and out in between, and could afford to hold it because I thought it would go down after 3:30 when the chickens bailed out prior to earnings.
