Marcie, you go girl! Long term, this stock has been one big clunker. I'm in at 16 (and at one time, that price was considered low, low, and low). Apparently, VLSI is becoming a traders stock.

Anyone: please help me. What is AIM? and what is Newport. I'm curious yellow. Also, what is VirtualPC?

Griff

Have you tried meditation or some kind of relaxation technique?
Alcohol? I see you enjoy ranting..., but that'll only get you so far.

The fact you haven't bailed is evidence you think there's more value
than the current price. If you really feel it's as bad as you described
you should take the loss and move on.

On the other hand I was the one suggesting we all show up at
headquarters with baseball bats a month or so ago....
...but I'm calmer now.

Seriously, I've seen enough other companies recently with similar stories
as vlsi's, that I'm not as convinced of the proportion of management
ineptitude as I was. Yeah, they've screwed up, but the global issues
are way more of a factor than mgmt cock ups.

<<with this dog flea ear chewed washed out mut.>>

I can go along with the 'washed out dog' part, but if I thought it
had 'fleas and a chewed ear' too..., I'd dump it.

good luck,
-Kevin

Marcie, I'm long and I'm up. Chip stocks are great for mid to long term holders. Industry stocks consistently overreact to market conditions. They go up too far when short term business prospects are good and they go down too far when short term prospects are bleak. I got in first at 11 three(?) years ago and sold 3/4 of holdings at 34 a few months back. Loaded up again at 7 three weeks ago. I love this baby and I think the company is reasonably well run. Gonna ride back to 30 again because when supply/demand for chips gets good again, it will overreact up. Wonderful cycles. Hang in there.
