Gottfried,

Thanks for the website information.

Did you notice the 1996 B-t-B graph? While the the 1998 measures are signifcantly lower, the pattern is similar. I noticed that there was an upturn beginning in October 1996 through the end of the year. Since the bookings are so low, I wonder if the industry might be due for an increase in B-t-B similar to 1996 - perhaps some type of seasonal order pattern. However, I know that this trend in 1998 may be strongly correlated to Asian demand. Perhaps, this is wishful thinking.

Regarding KLIC, I've been watching the stock for over a month. I saw the bottom at 9 3/8 and hesitated. The thing that bothers me about entry right now is the volatility on the average and below average daily volume. I'm thinking there will be one more round of consolidation (selling) in the tech sector before a good bottom entry point presents itself. I may have missed that already. I'm sure the "longs" are hoping they have seen the bottom. One thing does seem plausible - when the B-t-B shows a turn around, this one may really take off.

Good investing,

Paul
