Mark,

My definitions of what is or is not sin rests exclusively with what the bible portrays as such. I do my best to avoid falling into it myself, and if I fail I seek God's forgiveness, and do my best by His grace to not repeat the same thing again.
For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Ecclesiastes 7:20

There are times I'm willing to shout out loud against sin or anything that I believe goes against God's word to the point of appearing a fool for Christ's sake.
These peoples motivation at this funeral is suspect in my eyes because of the scriptures. This verse has been posted by myself and others here as to a Christian's witness to others....
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. II Tim. 2:24-26
This was not applied where it should have been in this case. I do not see God's work being done here but a great evil to put the church in a dim light.
Although we have opposing views consider this....
It is not the sin of homosexuality or murder or theft that condemns a person to hell according to the bible. In fact according to the bible if I'm guilty of breaking one of God's laws I'm guilty of all of them!
It's the sin of refusing God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ that will condemn me to hell.
Yup... I know... the bible again.

God bless you Mark,
John
