Firstplus Financialsells UK oper. for $13mln

DALLAS, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Firstplus Financial Group Inc. Tuesday said it has closed the more than $13 million sale of
its United Kingdom loan origination and servicing operations based in Cardiff, Wales.

The company declined to identify the buyer.

''The sale of the UK operations is the next step taken in selling certain non-core business units announced last week,'' Daniel Phillips, Firstplus chief
executive officer, said in a stamen.

Shares of Firstplus were up 9/16 to 4-3/4 Tuesday afternoon. The company's year high share price was 56, its low 1-1/2.

Firstplus originates and sells consumer finance receivables.
