Glad I could help, a couple of additional comments. Purchase of a hard drive only does qualify one to be able to purchase an OEM version of either NT or 98. At least at the places I use. Let me know if you have trouble with this.
It is great that you are looking at the 300a and OC'ing seriously. I set up another system this afternoon. BH6 and Celeron 300a. Set the Soft Menu to 4.5 x 100mhz and enabled "turbo" (which just means the bus gets an additional 3% mhz or 103 mhz total) and set the voltage to 2.0 volts. Boots up first try at 464 mhz and ran and installed NT without a hitch. With this combo of hardware this is so easy! Left it ro burn in overnight, will see in the morning if there are any errors.
BTW, If you are serious about buying Microsoft Small Business Server, I have a deal for you! I have a 5 user version that we bought, installed it, and figured out real soon it won't work in a multi-domain / PDC/SDC network. It has some limitations with respect to primary and secondary domain controller issues. Will work fine in a small single server environment.
Just a thought if you need one, would probably let it go for less than NT Server. E-mail me if interested.

Good Luck with the system.
Dan

Paul, I tried to add my 2 cents yesterday, and had good old NS 4.5 freeze and destroy it before I could finish. Here's a quick second try:

Looks like an excellent machine. I also agreed 100% with both Dan's and Spot's on-point feedback. Dan in particular said most of what I would have, at least as well as I could have said it. :) I have the bh6 Oc'd celeron combo, and have been extremely happy with it: not so much as a burp since I finally diagnosed the bad memory problem outlined in earlier posts.

One additional thought: you might check out the All-In-Wonder Pro for your AGP card, rather than the Expert series. This board was the reference combo board for Win 98: it does TV, video capture, and a host of other things. You could monitor CNBC or any of the new internet based TV services without using separate boards or monitors. It would also support your multi-monitor setup, and the price was just cut from $300 to around $110 after a $20 rebate. Useful writeups on this board and related matters can be found at these spots:

nytimes.com

angelfire.com

The latter site is very comprehensive, and includes all the ATI boards.

Good luck,

Dave
