I agree, and i thought of that early this year and therefore decided to stay away from dell, see what happened...and i think the run is going to continue at least for some time. ...there is no stopping these guys.

I agree somewhat. I made that claim to senior management at citicorp in 1986. A good example is Gateway "giving away their computer" with a signup to their internet.

But what ever the speed of the processor (and the disk), the demand fills the capacity quickly. With faster communications to the house, multimedia application over the net will be more common. And this will demand more power than what we have today, I believe.
