As I have said several times on this thread, Dell's server plan is strong and well executed. But suggesting that Dell will achieve a 20X annual growth in server revenue just doesn't pass the giggle test.

If they do better than 100% growth that would be spectacular, that would be at least 5X industry growth. And they may actually be doing better than that - PJ thinks they are at 140% annualized in 3Q. But even if we assume that they were at 300 units a day in 3Q, 140% annual puts them at maybe bumping 700 units a day this time next year, and at 4000 units a day sometime in 2001.

I don't doubt that you are posting the info as you heard it. I am suggesting that your midwest MAM may have gotten some numbers confused. I would welcome any more info that you can provide on this and think your 'reports from the front' are great, keep it up. I just think you should double-check that particular number.
