Getting rather personal, Dwight, with those comments about her children. That's the kind of harshness that makes people distrust conservatives (of which I am one) in the first place.

I would respectfully suggest that you save your cruelty for the clowns in Washington.

Dwight - I was engaged on your side of the argument right up until the paragraph about "Lets be Michelle's children." Not that Michelle needs defending (I can't wait to see the response!) but, bad form, buddy, even for this highly polarized thread.

Shame on you, Dwight...I refer to your last paragraph, about "Michelle's children."

Hey Dwight you know what? With that shocking last paragraph, where you are obviously trying to generate some sympathy on the part of the people here for this neglected potential child of mine, you have basically described my childhood. Why? Because my mother was Dr. Shumways (sp?) head nurse in the 60s - you know, he was the guy that did the first heart transplant, a very famous Dr. - and my mother used to travel with him all over the world for lectures etc. So, I was one of those "day care center" babies before there were day care centers. I even went to a boarding school for a little while in high school - but before the hysterics kick in, I wanted to go to that great high school and loved it, never felt neglected in any way by my busy parents and I resent this implication from you all that any kid would feel that way - BECAUSE THEY DONT.

BTW I formed my liberal views on marriage as an adult, after seeing a number of people in what I consider to be businesslike partnerships. Of course, I dont know what the real situation is with these couples as it is none of my business.
