Fred .... as long as DELL doesn't disappoint, the small retail investor will support the price. DELL is a concept ... not quite the same as AOL, AMZN or Yahoo, but there are similarities to LU or PFE.

You are betting that DELL will fail in the short-intermediate term. I personally see nothing to justify that opinion from what I've seen or heard. I believe that there are people short or with puts that are based upon high P/E companies in a failing market. That may still happen, but if it doesn't then I'm not sure what the naysayers are hanging their hat on. The TA doesn't look so bad to me. There is very strong support in the 52 range, then at 46/48 ... so whats the big downside risk ??. okay ... next is 42 ... but the upside is far more likely. Short-term, the stock is not overbought and has just bounced off the upper Bollinger band so has room to climb back.

Now, the stock has not done much in the last few days, like CSCO and some other high P/E tech stocks, but it is not unusual for a stock to consolidate after a rapid rise before resuming the upward trend.... I'm sure there's a whole bunch of people who sold on the way down and are now gnashing their teeth hoping for a drop so they can get back in. They will return. And with earnings coming, its far more likely the stock will have a run up given that Dell has confirmed that earnings are in the bag.

Nope I just don't get it ....can't believe there aren't better candidates ... but good luck anyway.

Stephen
