Hello nihil[istic?], re the Jack Murphy stadium quote - I was just reporting what I heard. I think you are right that there is Jack Murphy field in the QUALCOMM Stadium. I see the footy and baseball are both being played there. Pretty good for QUALCOMM!

***off topic on rockbreaking***
On the rockbreaking, in the good old days here, they used pick and shovel to build winding little roads, which I spent some of my childhood on in a Model A [we had about the last Model A used in anger]. I studied civil engineering, so knew how much cut and fill it takes to make a wide and long motorway through the hills - no job for pick and shovel.

I assume the socialist ideal and economic independence is what the voters of India like, even if it means they have to break and cart stones by hand to build poor quality roads and rail. Maybe they are right - there seems overall a happy disposition in India. At least Indian voters have a choice - they can vote for what they like and they are still voting themselves poor, though maybe they see it as voting themselves happy. Maybe they are right - though I saw plenty of unhappy too. There was very little heavy equipment in India and things are very run down - as though the country stopped at independence.
