ditto re buying insurance. Besides, I would think only a few insurers would be in the business of insuring launches.

To E Haiken: I agree with you completely that to buy insurance because the premium is cheaper is ridiculous if that meant any risk at all of inability to pay. I never suggested "cheaper" at all - you must have read that in someone else's post. In any case, wouldn't it be great if the company just laid the facts on the table, i.e. what company is the primary insurer, which other companies participated and when will the pay off be in what currency. All can be made clear in a G* or Loral statement or press release. Await that with anticipation. Chaz
