Labor Ready Conference call update: Very funny, I thought. There was an angry shareholder on the phone just railing into management on insider selling. Also, CEO Glen Welstad says how unique the company is and how they report sales monthly to give investors better data and not five minutes later the CFO explains that in 1999 they are not going to give monthly sales numbers because of its short term focus! Typical Bullsh*t explanation of workers comp expense. Claimed that they are really flexible in case of a recession to aggressively cut costs, but when asked what quantitative numbers they use, they didn't have one! No mention of 98% rise in current liabilities sequentially, or 50% rise in Other Current Assets. Couldn't ask a question because after six or seven questions they stopped the call. This is as great a short sale as ever.
