People used to feel the same way about INTC. You are right, but once enterprises hit a certain size and command a certain market share they are very vulnerable to any economic slowdown. Nonetheless, I believe I have been early both times I bought puts.

It has the capacity to drop by 50% very quickly though at the hint of any slowing earnings growth -- probably will hit next year, not this year. Now as you say it is a play on what happens with the govmnt. In hindsight, I like the IBM play better.

Don't sweat your IBM puts, I think you made a good buy. Good chance that the break will be down and not up. One heck of a buying spree has already taken place.
