I actually do it the other way around. Go to B&N and flip through
the books there and shop on the web for the best prices. Typically
I have had the books delivered to me the next day by Amazon. Even with
the shipping & handling the deals are better on the web , not to mention the convenience
factor.

Would you explain to me how going to a store, logging onto the net to make a purchase, receiving a deliver, opening it up is more convenient? Would not having the book at the store placed in your bag been a lot more convenient?

I think B&N should work on closing the discount gap between the web and outlet stores. Then most people would buck at having to pay shipping and handling. And web could act more as online catalogue and shopping guide. It has been my experience that shipping and handling cancels out much of the web price advantage.

Anyhow the bottomline is that AMZN is a manipulated tulip and will burst sooner or later.
