Daniel, here's a "new" piece of the email trail I never read.

"Microsoft is the de facto client software company,"
Clark, who's now chairman of Netscape, wrote in a
December 1994 e-mail. "We have never planned to
compete with you. We have never considered a
'client' to be our business."

The evidence could be crucial because it may weaken
claims by the government and Netscape that
Microsoft threatened in a 1995 meeting to force
Clark's company out of the browser market in
exchange for certain favors, including an investment
by software titan Microsoft.

Seems Netscape asked for some help, Microsoft "offered" perhaps Netcsape may have done a little history re-writing. What's your take on this?

Mr. Daniel Schuh,

Actually, the appeals court said the judge was wrong. According to reports and interviews that I saw, the judge was pretty pissed at Microsoft for going to the appeals court. Whatever the outcome, the decision will rest in the appeals court or higher.

Thank You

JK
