This is certainly where all opinions, pro and con are discussed and sometimes cussed.<VBG> The latest I saw about the quest for the historical Jesus was by a Matthew J. Anconia,(I hope I got the spelling right) who has been traveling to all historical sites of Jesus, especially Galilee. He made several references to "The Jesus Papyrus" which was found in Egypt and is the Gospel of Matthew said to be written within 30 years of Jesus death and resurrection. I welcome you and please feel free to post any facts or belief that you care to. Looking forward to any new discoveries from you about God's Word and the history of Jesus and the Apostles. Santiago

Welcome to a truth seeker. May I ask if you possibly have a home page where I can upload some information. I have made extensive studies of religious articles and accumulated much information which I am willing to share. I am a member of no formal church or organization and have no axe to grind except a religion of truth. The Gnostics were the true Christians and the Apostle Paul was definitely a gnostic and knew the Gnostic Christ. He never knew Jesus and the man he met mystically on the road to Damascus was not Jesus but the Gnostic Christ. If you have a library available get the book by Gerald Massey titled "The Natural Genesis." It will give you what you seek to find in the truth of the bible and how the Roman government spread Christianity thru a state religion enforced by the sword. If you have a website I can send this to you on HTML for reading. I have many out of print esoteric books in HTML format. These type books are available on the internet at Kessingers books. If you try there you will find most very expensive but they give a synopsis which is in itself enlightening. I am Christian by a gnostic experience similar to Paul's. As such I warn you I am called a sinner and prayed for daily by people on this thread. The people mean well but do not understand the power of prayer and how it benefits only the individual soul. They cannot pray for me and I cannot reveal to them the Gnostic experience. I have to rely on fact or will lose my credibility. Quite a task as most have the bible and tradition for their only acceptable authority. If you have time check the last 100 messages by my name and it will give you an idea of my experience and research.
