You seem to be doing quite well with your own picks, and you managed (one way or the other) to pick some industry leaders during a time when they definately outperformed their industries as a whole. Congrats...

Henry, the stocks that you picked yourself were all momentum picks. JD is a value picker. Momentum stocks give immediate returns (until they run out of momentum). Value stocks unusually take a time (several months or even a year or more) to begin the climb (assuming the picker is right about the change that he sees coming and on which he bases his pick)

I wish all my buys in 1995 through early 1998 had been momentum picks.
