I agree with your assessment. At best, we are probably one quarter away from turning the corner. More likely 2-3 quarters. My opinion on the run-up this week:

1) Discussion in the WSJ that there has been some rotation out of large caps into smaller caps.

2) IBM earnings and the notation that PC sales are strong.

3) $500mm investment in Micron by Intel. I believe Intel whispered that they were trying to protect themselves from a future dram shortage. Some investors may have interpreted this as a wake-up call.

It should be noted that the run-up occurred on relatively light volume. The sharks may be starting to sniff but the feeding frenzy has not started.
