Yes, this is what I expected. I'm going to ask a friend of mine in D.C. who is a patent attorney if she knows anything about this. Unfortunately, I lack the expertise to evaluate the relative merits of these claims. I only know that I'm hanging on to my ERICY stock until I get a more objective take on this issue than the dueling press releases.

I noticed the post was at 3:57 pm, right before the market closed. Was this the timing of your post, or was it the timing of the press release?

I forgot to mention one other possiblity. Ericsson could have applied for the re-exam to ensure the patentablity of its patent. Re-exams typically go to senior patent examiners.
