Sorry to butt in. I just don't see how everyone is reading this as a good release.

Zacks estimates were for +.33 w/out charges. They did +.30
First Call estimates were for +.04 with charges. They did -5.97

Either way they missed estimates and plan on lower earnings next quarter, per there previous press release.

If you want to buy in at these low prices, I don't think you will have any problems tomorrow.

Interesting that gross margins were up, Bruce. That's good news. Given the pending product migration, the results were pretty good.

Re the stock tomorrow - who knows. Like you, I'd guess strongly up. But Avid stock is enigmatic.

Re EMC - they have a more sustainable long-term growth situation. They are riding an explosive industry trend. Avid is more of a trading stock, IMHO.

I'm too busy at present to play around trading stocks, which is a shame because I think short-term traders could make a lot of money with Avid, up and down, in the near term. It will be very volatile intraday the next few days, at a guess.

Good luck.
