Dan: thanks for the Burnin link! How volatile are the Mushkin prices?
I noticed the 300a=$143 deal is gone. Should I pull the trigger on
the Papa Clocker now? The next Intel price announcement is only a few
days away ... but seeing a 300a for 143 says the re-pricing has
largely happened. I think I'm just getting itchy to get started
putting this together. <g>

What are examples of cache intensive applications
(re: sw??? step PII400)?

Do I need any cables, drive brackets, or anything? I've got a Radio
Shack handy, but COMPUSA is quite a hike. Bestbuy is close, perhaps
that will do for whatever I've forgotten and won't realize until
something won't fit/plug/bolt. I'm assuming that by offering the
bundle, Mushkin has the appropriate bh6 package to fit 300a's so
hopefully I'll avoid that pitfall.

Thanks,
Paul

Cool Dan...

I just downloaded it....

Some good widely available dos/windows diags which ran run in loop endlessly are...

BCM Diags...

bcmcom.com

My Favorite: Sandra

sisoftware.demon.co.uk

Winbench on CD from Zdlabs can stress you system pretty good. The downloadable version is missing too many tests to make it complete. you need to order the CD.

I think you will find BCM or Sandra to your liking....

Sean

Don't know if its good, but it is free. <g>

zdnet.com

Apologies if you already have this one. Noted that a WinNT version of prime is available on the same mersenne page. BTW, attempts to download prime blew IE4.01. NS-Nav seems to be doing OK. FTP xfer?
