Max,

Tell us more on MOS 13.

Capacity.

Technology.

AMD needs to adress the capacity issue soon.

Looks like they have great products and designs now. But if they can't ship enough to meet demand then it will be another missed opportunity.

Regards,

Kash

Ten: AMD wouldn't dare sell a K6-3 that runs under 400 MHz

Max: Anything under 400MHz would go into a notebook. Nice strategy isn't it?

Huh? You're telling me that the K6-3 can just be underclocked and dropped into a notebook? I have a hard time believing that. Intel has different versions of Pentium II for desktops and mobile. I don't think the K6-2 with its high leakage current can just be dropped into a notebook. I would guess the same goes for K6-3. AMD would have to make a special version of the K6-3 for notebooks; they can't just take the scraps from the 400 MHz bin for their notebook line.
