Jess,
"The first sign of an uptick could be very explosive indeed, and if one isn't already in the stocks, a great few days will be missed."
Judging by a couple of stocks that I am long just a few hundred shares apiece (TER and DPMI), people are already lining up and putting down their bets. They have both been incredibly strong in the past week or two. Also long a little ASYT.

Nice to see you around SI again. Look forward to your posts.

Jess, Mason: It is truly not clear whether the Asian situation has bottomed or not, but I don't think it will get much worse. I now think that Japan will survive economically. I also think that most of the potential future negative news vis-a-vis semi equipment stocks is already in the share prices.

What is your rationale supporting the various positions you have outlined above?

As an Assistant Professor of Finance I am sure you have done some analysis.<gg>

Thanks,
