With Robert on buy-backs Kevin and the YAHOO author with a unusual name

Best way to reward shareholders , reduce dividend obligations and build up the treasury for employee awards or acquisitions .

Not buying in the last 30 mins of the trading day eliminates over-night "window-dressing" and buying at critical times "protects" investor holdings .

Rememeber when the financial TV programs over-exposed the 10 year anniversary of the '87 crash and triggered a massive '97 sell off , it was L. Gerstner who stepped forward and used IBM's buy back to restore the market.
