Used to get Arizona Highways. Some pretty scenery. Anasazis were there and gone with out a trace of what happened. Makes for a mystery. "The First Eagle" I'm saving in case I'm forced to go to Florida fishing. Gotta read on the way down and back. Hiassen will split your gizzard.

Road Shoulders. Yeah, gotta pay attention. The edge is close here and I went out to make a beer run, well timed with the beginning of the ball-game. Driving along minding my own business and there's bright red on the side of the road, or is it in the road? Sloooow down, go by. Wow, it's fire. It's dark, I'm old, I can't see well enough to know if I can pull over, besides I'm confused, it supposed to be in the fireplace. Drive to the b-b-que place up the road, go in, someone is already there suggesting the fire dept. (volunteer) might be a good idea. So I go back and go slow and figure out I can pull over as someone coming the other way does the same. We all run into the fire and do the tenny-shoe dance and stomp that sucker out. Fire Dept. shows up then, so I leave in search of beer. Some not so bright person had thrown a bundle of something, blanket or such, out on the side of the road, on fire. It hasn't rained here since Aug., maybe July, dryer than a way dead bone and itching to go up in flames. Makes ya wonder, it does. I'm getting black tennys next time.
