you dont know how happy I am to hear that Tim! I get a lot of ribbing from people about my lack of shorting its become a bit of a joke...

Im currently forced to finish my obligation at an office but once Nov. 15 comes ill be back full time, trading all day.. Right now I have to rely on a quotrek which actually is very reliable if you trade liquid issues. That little device has made me a lot of money this year. I keep it along side my dumb terminal all day and just watch and watch and watch.

what equipment do you use? also, if you dont mind sharing what broker you go thru id appreciate that as well.. Its funny, because trading the stocks isnt the hard part.. its the equipment, the broker, and the damned emotions that cleaned me out for the first 2 years.. I learned the hard way how to cut losses FAST.

ok.. this time im really going to go drink/eat...

Shorted 4 stocks today making money on each one.....held a few "longies" for unrealized losses....

When I run my scans I have 2 types of flags..."sell" and "buy".

It it comes up sell and I dont happen to own the stock at the time, I sell it anyway....its called going short, promising my broker to buy it back at a later time. My best trades durring bear markets are shorts, being that it is unwise to fight the market trend.

Having said that, I am putting ESTI on my short watch list. ESTI was halted today, pending good news....it will run hard....it may even run for a week or more, but it will indeed ring in a good short when it turns.
