M Cahill,

re: Anybody have any luck adding another monitor to their system with Windows 98.

I have a new Gateway PII-400 and wanted to do the same thing. In the Windows98 hard copy manual(p 75), there is actually a statement saying that the multi-monitor function only supports PCI drivers at this time. I also contacted Gateway and they stated that they heard from several people that tried to get an AGP card to function with a PCI card (paired) to no success. I am hoping MSFT fixes this fairly quickly as not too many people will want to sacrifice the advantage of the AGP card for a PCI one to use Multi-monitors. (I don't.) If you do plug a PCI card into your machine and there is already an AGP card, the PC will not even see the AGP card.
