Maurice, you would know, better than I; if Q is truly a pearl ! Remember I haven't even been able to judge the fair value of a box of spinach. Would such an aquisition work, given the animosity between the two companies ? If they could work together, it may be a very good combination. Otherwise, someone may just condense the vapour (vapor in the US), out of WCDMA, and QCOM may be left with some rotted "spinach". I think Lucent will be looking for an ATM company right now, and am hoping their interests lie with NN or COMS. Didn't their handset project with Philips just fail ? Perhaps they will look at QCOM.
