Mark: Thanks for starting a biometrics thread. I'm a novice in understanding the technology behind the scene, but love the idea of a non-intrusive way of security, both on and off-line. I've read about the company your working for, digital certificates, penops.com and a few others. But feel a non-intrusive Iris scan which can be made into a digital certificate to store on your computer could be the most sound, long term. UnitedBank out of Texas is using a "pilot program", from sensar.com with a few ATMs. Walk up, 5 second scan, no card, then proceed. What do you know of this technology? I've heard the prices will come down so we can use it. If one banks online, trades, buys, then storing the iris-certificate on your hard drive, and sending it to appropiate entities could be possible. With the 260 some discriminating factors compared to DNA, does this seem like a great security feature long term? Temp'
