Buffett says he doesn't own MSFT because he doesn't understand its business and won't buy any business he doesn't understand. If you think about it, can you say that 10, 20, or 30 years from now MSFT will still have a lock on OS? It might be broken up by the courts in the next year or so. Bill Gates and co. are always saying how they have to run scared. Not at all a relatively stable situation like a razor, soft drink, or candy company. MSFT doesn't fit the Buffett mold, IMHO. Warren is good buddies with Gates and respects his intelligence, but didn't he say he'd rather own the kind of business that an idiot would have a hard time running into the ground?

MSFT - maybe he is just stubborn ? maybe he doesn't like anything that Benjamin Graham never had a chance to dissect ? But how would he (Graham) do DD on FlightSafety ?? who knows ???
