Humbly report, Jeff, no PINC or FBNA, but otherwise an excellent article, don't you think?

A few points that struck me as interesting:

zdnet.com :

Prices on the products we surveyed range from $29.95 to $6,000 (list). But you can find anything from freeware utilities to suites costing five figures.

zdnet.com :

Over the next year, you're sure to see many more players in the Y2K tools arena. Some will be veteran Y2K consultancies and utility developers who have packaged their in-house tools for use by the general public. Along with a clear, organized Y2K plan, one of these tools will surely make you less fearful of the coming millennium.

zdnet.com :

Our Recommendation

If you're dealing with a single machine, we recommend that you implement your own fix (unless you have the Award problem, which requires another solution). It will cost you nothing but a few minutes on the morning of January 1, 2000, or any day thereafter. The best solution, of course, is to obtain a BIOS upgrade. If you've got hundreds of machines to fix, then you may want to weigh the cost of ISA cards against the relative instability of a TSR.

Looking forward to mainstream coverage of PINC. While we wait, here is a bit of press on FBNA:

Wall Street Journal: #reply-4936422
Fortune Magazine: #reply-5958727
Silicon Investor: techstocks.com

As always, FBNA investors have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Cheers,

Svejk
