Notes for myself (week 8). After week 6 disaster of 1-9, with lone correct pick on a Thursday game, I was zilch to 9 on the Sat and Sun games. I need to make myself some notes, so I can check back later why it is difficult to make 10 correct picks out of 50 choices. By gut feeling, and why: 1.Stanford +17.5 @ Arizona St ... Both D's susceptible to pass and both rely on the pass. No running game. Tempted to take the points, but change my mind. No play. 3.Boston College -15 vs. Navy ... In past years, I would jump on the Middies and take the 15 pts. They got blown out twice already this year. PICK BC. NO PLAY. 5.Clemson +2.5 @ Duke ... What happened to the Tigers this year? I still like Clemson to win, but they play at Duke. NO PLAY. 11.Toledo -7.0 @ Akron ... Toledo should win this game, but not sure about giving 7 pts. PICK Toledo.
