I made my position clear. Read it again. I don't see anything "cheesy" in the response. Slurs? Hmmmm. JLA

>You wouldn't happen to share this benign, perhaps even beneficial hatred, would you JLA? Of course, I was informed long ago that I'm the partisan hater around here. I do have a certain visceral distaste for hatred being preached in the name of Christianity, I admit.<

Some things the Christian perhaps should, indeed perhaps must hate, racism and liberal totalitarianism being just two. If one wants to support murder and homosexuality, then fine; but one has not the right to force others to accept them. I reject your "morality" because I see it as deadly. I reject your attempts to force your morality upon me because your doing so is oppressive, a denial of my identity. There is hate here, yes-but none of it directed toward a human. It is directed toward human action, namely the support of perversion.

As far as I know, I have only a few friends who are homosexual, one of which is a very fine cellist who lives in NYC. I happen to be a pianist (a hobby) and when I have the time, will occassionally fly to New York to play various concerti and other works with him. He is trapped in gross perversion, and while I like his kindness, and his penchant for hard work, my primary goal is to be available to help him should he ever decide to reject his depravity. He seems to have a great many friends, but despite this I see in his life a shallowness, an emptiness, a lack of depth and history-a lack of promise for the future. As with my other homosexual friend, his is an existence of constantly searching for companionship, love, acceptance and self-justification. I grieve for him, because I see he will never find the equilibrium, the peace of soul for which he searches. His life is a contradiction of himself, and so I consider it an illness.

I nevertheless have been told by him that despite my hatred of his actions, he desires to build our friendship because I am perhaps the only honest person he knows. I hoped then that he merely used hyperbole, but this is certain: When I have claimed to care for this man, to love him, I meant it. And when I have claimed to abhor his lifestyle, I meant it with equal force. So when you claim I hate homosexuals, I then know in my own heart, that as is typical of liberals, you haven't the foggiest idea of that about which you speak. My conscience is pure.

Me too. My biggest problem (recently) is that the high tech businesses around here claim to not be able to hire enough workers and have chosen to lobby republicans for an increase in H1-B visa quotas. Most of these workers are from India in my estimation but there are many countries represented - generally Asian countries. Christians are a tiny minority where I live and getting smaller due to this situation with importing foreign workers. Meanwhile the republicans are campaigning in Christian churches where the entire congregation is composed of white people - a tiny minority of the general populus here. I guess the republicans think that once all the Buddhists they have imported see the light of Christianity they will all convert? Well Gee, why wouldnt they think that, after all thats what happened when we brought over all the slaves from Africa 250 yrs ago right?
