>>>Hard to keep track of all your errors. The Senate was won by the Reps in 1980. Get it?

Finally you admit there was a Republican Senate, which you have denied all along. Nice that you finally got this one right and admitted it. The Republicans were thus in a position to stop any serious inquiry or impeachment during Iran-Contra, even had the Democrats wanted to proceed with one.

>>> By C. Boyden Gray

What a riot. A quote from Bush's lawyer. Must be true, huh, him being a lawyer and all, defending the guy who probably ran the operation at the top, according to accounts at the time? You must be desperate.

I especially liked "the subsequent restoration of democracy in Nicaragua is history", by which one can assume he means the Sandinista victory over the contras, and the genuine Sandinista adherence to the priciples of democracy, under which their party later ceeded control over the government in a democratic election, the kind of outcome that we were never willing to allow when our tools were running the country.

If Gray is willing to misrepresent that, how can he be trusted on any other detail?

Cheers,
Chaz
