Was Bull ever looking to ANCR for PCI host adapeter anyway? Not sure.

I've been following ANCR for over 3 years now. We will be laughing at ourselves for "worrying" about 1/2 point here and a 1/4 pt there. My FC-related-news-releases-by-a-very-diverse-list-of-companies index tells the story of FC turning the corner (FINALLY) as a large viable market. Was there ever really any doubt? ;~)

Not that Bull ever produced significant revenues for Ancor,
but there was a time when Bull was saying more or less the same
thing about Ancor products.

Now, Bull selects Emulex
<<as the fibre channel solution Bull will offer>>.

Herb,

<<Any thoughts on why Bull went with Emulex rather than Ancor?>>

Because Ancor isn't actively developing or selling adapters anymore. (Except for some strange bus types where Fibre Channel adapters are difficult to get.) They are concentrating on switches. This transition was talked about during one of the recent conference calls.
