Mike

How about BT and their seriously ugly numbers ? and up today !!!!! I would expect a major dividend cut coming with the restructuring announcement. A put candidate or too obvious ? Puts are pricey.

Michael,

A lot of budget will go to Y2K fixes next year but I think the majority of big purchasing to solve the problem is already on the books (except for some continuing old PC phaseout). That's is why I think that enterprise software companies are in for a particularly hard time next year. System changes take time in big companies. If systems were going to be purchased to solve the problem then they have mostly already been purchased. And if you are not solving a Y2K problem, why add additional problems?
