Jim, what do you think of AMD's stock performance lately? I'm not too impressed, especially with the imminent 400 release, and K-7 news. Seems to be stuck in $17+ range.

I was looking forward to Q1 99.

I was speculating that the yield is likely to be in 80-120 DPW range with a 120mm2 die for the k-3. This is reasonable if the 160 DPW with a 80mm2 was in fact valid data.

I doubt very much they will keep producing old k6-2 stepping next year.

Even with 120 DPW for new k6-2/3 with 50,000 wafers/qtr we get to 6M pcs. Doesn't strike me as much room for K-7's. Unless K-7 will be run elsewhere.

Regards,

Kash
