brees, no you're not the only one who thinks it's an important issue. It's been a while since I last read the life expectancy statistics for homosexual males, but I think it's a full twenty years less than heterosexual men (I'm sure someone will correct me on this if I'm wrong). But your point is a good one. Why would a parent or teacher encourage a lifestyle choice that can be shown to be so hazardous to your health? Good question..... As far as most not discussing it, I would imagine that many feel as I do. That homosexuality is a choice and believe that most homosexuals are aware of the risks they take by their behavior. And frankly, I don't think it's worth being labeled a "homophobe" by making my views known. bp
