3COM Weather Report: Flooding ravages on Rivers in southeastern Texas continue to rise well above flood stage. Many of these rivers are reaching record levels, and in some cases are as much as an incredible 30 feet above flood stage. Evacuations and rescues are widespread as the flood crests roll toward the Gulf of Mexico. Rivers may not return to within their banks prior to the weekend. 10' levee no good when 30' above flood.
