When you contemplate the murders of hundreds of millions of people in the 20th century, it's hard not to wonder if there's a war against humanity going on. Topic for a religious thread I guess.

bp - I think we have to take one step further back into the real rationale behind abortion -- the removal of the stigma of having sex prior to marriage.

Abstinence is the only COMPETELY effective form of birth control.

Abortion is the only COMPLETELY effective post-intercourse form of birth control.

If men (boys) and women (girls) and their parents weren't willing to abandon religious tenets of abstinence outside of marriage, we wouldn't be looking at being responsible for allowing mass murder.

If we, as a society weren't so conditioned to let the purveyors of moral relativism de-stigmatize behaviors we find, and have traditionally found, abhorrent, a number of serious sociological problems would not have become as entrenched as they are now.

I read somewhere that the concept of progress protects us from the terrors of the future. That is one of the reasons I feel as strongly as I do about those who come to the defense of the immoral - they are only hastening the decay.
