The local "public" radio station here has formed a separate corporation - River Town Trading to sell trinkets and such. All it's profits are transferred to KSJN so it is taxed as a non profit corporation giving it a distinct advantage over other for profit trinket catalogs. The president of KSJN is also president of River Town. He collects 6 figure salaries from both KSJN and River Town ( a fact made public only by an act of the MN. legislature). The whole "not profit" economy is exploding. It is rife with abuse. It is receiving almost no attention.
