Those New Yorkers sure are funny: Alfonse calls Chuck a "dickhead:"

AL LEARNS THE 'OY' OF YIDDISH

By ROBERT HARDT Jr. and GREGG BIRNBAUM

Alfonse D'Amato called his Senate opponent, Charles
Schumer, a putzhead in a private meeting with Jewish
leaders - prompting the Brooklyn congressman to demand
an apology for the cheap slur.

Speaking to about 40 people in the offices of George Klein,
a prominent Jewish Republican, D'Amato labeled Schumer
a putzhead for not bringing more federal aid to the city,
according to four witnesses, including former Mayor Ed
Koch.

D'Amato also ridiculed Manhattan Rep. Jerrold Nadler for
his girth - calling him the waddler, according to witnesses.

When he said "putzhead,' Koch let out a loud laugh, said
another witness.

Putz is a Yiddish word for penis. It is generally used as a
caustic insult to call someone an idiot.

Koch also said D'Amato's reference to Nadler as the
waddler shouldn't be viewed as an insult.

I think that was a sympathetic reference to Jerry's weight. I
just hope it shakes Jerry up so he goes on a diet, because
we're worried about his health, Koch said.

Tip, you got Skeeter on one of your hooks? I'm into POS2 on nov 45s and I'm feeling like I'm about to get hooked, like my brother did to me when he was learning to cast. Clear through my right ear lobe.

Maybe I should have picked up an ear ring?

Tomorrow may not be good to Kodiaks.

Regards, Ice
