Jozef, 1.4GB for $250 (typo?) NECX.COM shows the 14.4GB desktop drives at $399. Not the lowest price on Earth but their user interface is excellent. How's their delivery and service?

I recently bought a cool (<7 watt) IBM 10GB drive for $219 from TJT and a pair of fan-cooled "drive-in-a-drawer" units for $20 each. I can finally transport my entire database from home to office.

But given a 14GB 1/2" drive from IBM, once Riva figures out how to make a cool graphics cool, and AMD delivers the K6 with cache, the "Ultimate PC" might just be a portable!
