Daved,

I thought about that (it would make sense to keep the momentum going), but then there was this in the conference call in response to a question (emphasis added):

Michael Miles: Well, I guess there's a couple different questions in there. One is will we use proceeds to keep buying back stocks. And that's a yes. We are going to go back to our Board to re-institute our authorization, which was 20 million at the beginning of the year. We've used 17 already of Safeguard stock. And we're going to request our Board to let us go back and increase that again. So these proceeds obviously can be used for that. And we will continue to do so with our partnership companies as we've already mentioned. So from a cash standpoint, absolutely, Tellabs is a good source of cash for that.

That implies to me that they need more authorization first to buy back more of their shares, but I suppose they could have received it already. Anyone have a feel for this?

Thanks,

--John
