Kemble- I used the quotes on "little details" because some may argue that it may be overkill to expect that every communication (big or small) from a company to be consistent, clear, and focused....

I can't get out of my head seeing Lew Platt interviewed on CNBC (last May)...although he has certainly done some admirable things at HP (most pre-1997), during this particular interview he looked terribly unfocused, unknowledgable, and un-confident about the future of his company...I would never invest in a company where the CEO is such a poor communicator...even if it happens infrequently..

I come from the school that if someone is paying attention to the little things (and doing them well), they are most likely paying attention to the big things (and doing them well too)....Since I started actively following Dell (earlier this year), I keep trying to figure out what they (Dell) don't do well..I like looking for cracks in the little things.....Nothing comes to mind (concerning Dell)....I'll keep looking, though...
