as you suggest, clearly a sector move. I don't know why, yet, but this was not an AMAT-specific event.

Ordinarily, yes, I would agree. But it seems to me that an 8+% move in 1 1/2 hours with a company that trades with AMAT's volume does require an explanation. Or at least I think to question a move of that magnitude, in that short of a time span, is a legitimate question. It's as if there is/was some insider trading going on. Or perhaps something irrational was taking place.
