Because the media is incompetent. Why would anyone with even a high school education in math would accept that the previous bill for 100,000 policemen and this bill for 100,000 teachers add up? They don't. It you tell the same lie enough times, people just repeat it and it becomes accepted. Almost like brain-washing. But then, that's been Clintone's modus operandi all along.
