Those JPA test results are bizarre...

What's more startling than V2 SLI being way out ahead, is the similar Gamegauge scores between all the rest of boards. My first thought was - wow...TNT looks bad...

But a Gamegauge score is just the sum of the frame rate on 7 games (Forsaken, Incoming, QII, etc.). Of course what JPA doesn't mention is that they only added up the scores from the games that worked with the card. In the 1024x768 vsynch on test they used the sum of frame rates of only two games for TNT since the OpenGl drivers didn't allow vsynch to be turned on for 3 of the games. Nonetheless, they didn't see any problems comparing that result with the other boards which had the luxury of summing frame rates from 5 games.

In short, this seems like a pretty flawed analysis. Does anyone know why they don't just take the average frame rate based on the number of games supported? I'm not sure if it's better to be able to play 5 games slowly or 2 games quickly...
