Bernard,

Thank you for answering my questions.

Barbara,

You first mentioned the possibility of a spin-off of New Media, do you think that Win will now go forward since their news has been received so well? Or do you think that they might not since they don't need the cash?

Pam

So, do we sell on the news and hope for lower prices, or is this the low point of this stock price? Great news but IMHO there will be lower prices both in WCII and the market. The major movement in the stock was at the opening bell. 7+ million shares traded and no real further push!

Bernard,

We are currently in the same psychic "space." As I pulled up the new posts, and had not yet read yours, I was thinking to myself that the fundamental problem/issue here lately is the very different investment objectives held by people who are legitimately day traders and those of us who earn the primary part of our income elsewhere and invest in a different manner with different time horizons, definitions of "risk" and opportunity costs, etc.

Although I think two WCII sites would be cumbersome (since I still am interested in the thoughts, not sarcasm, of those who day trade), it would be helpful if we all called a truce (we know who we are, and this week I was one of them), and instead just identified our investment style upfront (most useful to those who are new/infrequent to the thread, since most of us who've been around for awhile know each other's modus operandi), then we can pronounce our points-of-view in a constructive, not destructive/retaliatory, way. It's like oil trying to mix with water when a day trader tries to convince/convert/convict someone who has a whole different set of investment objectives. Neither is wrong; both are very different; both are entitled.

So, in the spirit of increased productivity on this board, while not excluding the insights of anyone, regardless of their investment style, I suggest we (oh my God, I sound like a politician!) compromise...No more throwing stones at people who want to live in a different investment time zone (either way). Just post your point of view in a non-attack, but fair, contrasting way. Then we can all hear/benefit from each other, ask ourselves some questions we may not have asked if not exposed to others thoughts, and rid ourselves of the relentless ranting and raging bullsh_t that is unbecoming of all of us.

Now, you guys, I do mean this sincerely, but given the nasty nature of this place lately, I fully expect to be smeared by even the suggestion that...

we could all get along and get something of value from each other without cluttering and soiling the thread with our (myself included) venom.

Oh my, I am now faced with the prospect of posting this and enduring the vicious responses! But hey, I've got the b..................s to do it, so here goes....

Peace,

Barbara
